Join Captain Michael Mauri of Mauri Fly Fishing and Pierce Oja of Wet Net Outfitters for a fully curated, all-inclusive fly fishing experience designed to build skill, confidence, and real on-the-water understanding.
Set in some of the most iconic trout water in the country, this week blends high-level instruction with real fishing application, supported by an experienced guide team and intentionally structured progression.
The Week — Day by Day
Day 1 — Arrival + Welcome Evening
Arrive at Harrison House mid-afternoon. Meet and greet, casual games, drinks, and appetizers. Light casting tune-up, gear prep, welcome dinner by Chef Hans, and full trip overview.
Day 2 — Casting Boot Camp + Yellowstone Float
Morning casting boot camp with Michael focused on mechanics, loop control, and accuracy. Afternoon guided float on the Yellowstone River with situational coaching. Dinner and Q&A.
Days 3–6 — Guided Fishing + Rotating Instruction
Daily guided fishing with two boats running and intentional guide rotation.
- Half-day coaching blocks with Michael focused on real-time decisions and casting under pressure
- Small stream day for tight-quarter fishing and technical skill building
- Doug McKnight leading streamer and predator tactics
- Jay and Zac focused on dry-dropper and technical trout systems
Each guide brings a different lens, creating a diverse, high-level instructional experience.
Evenings — Presentation Series
Each evening features a relaxed, professionally led presentation designed to deepen the experience beyond the water.
- Doug McKnight shares insights on permit fishing and saltwater crossover techniques
- Pierce presents an Iceland and trout travel session
- Michael Mauri covers advanced tarpon strategy, shot selection, and high-level casting
- Open Q&A and informal conversation over wine and dinner
Day 7 — Wrap Up + Departure
Final session and key takeaways before departure.
